Zomato Prepares Delivery Partners To Provide Critical Care in Case of an Emergency on the Road

After CEO Deepinder Goyal revealed that hundreds of Zomato's delivery partners had gotten training to assist in severe road situations and provide medical attention, the food delivery company earned a tonne of online plaudits.

"Yesterday in Mumbai, we broke the Guinness World Record for the largest first aid hour in a single location with 4,300 delivery partners," Goyal said in a post on X on June 13. Now, more than 30,000 delivery partners of zomato have received expert training to offer assistance and medical care in urgent roadside situations.

Zomato said that their emergency hero bags contain a green plus sign and reposted X's post as well.

Zomato tagged a photo of itself with the message, "We hope you never use this Zomato service." It also mentioned that 30,000 of its delivery partners had received professional training in first aid and CPR for emergencies involving vehicles. Thanking its delivery partners, Zomato stated, "But we hope you never need it."
