With the iPhone 16, Apple accomplished something truly remarkable. The base iPhone 16 is the least expensive and least technically advanced of the four variants in the most recent iPhone series. It should therefore be the least engaging. However, it isn't what has actually occurred.
Rather, I've had a great time using the iPhone 16, which is a refreshing, fulfilling, and surprisingly powerful smartphone. Yes, it has flaws, but they are (for the most part) easily overlooked because of all the positive aspects. Here are some reasons why the iPhone 16 is the best option if you're considering purchasing a new iPhone this year.

I was instantly captivated by the iPhone 16's new design when I first saw it at the Steve Jobs Theatre. Although it doesn't have a drastic redesign and still appears like an iPhone, this model has enough new features to seem exciting and novel in contrast to the iPhone 16 Pro.
The colours of this year are the first step. Although it's not particularly striking, the stark white colour of my iPhone 16 review sample is a frustrating absence from the iPhone 15 lineup from the previous year. Like the rich Black colour, it's an iconic Apple colour.
Additionally, the other iPhone 16 colours are extremely saturated, in contrast to the iPhone 15, which emphasised subdued pastel hues. The new Ultramarine colour is a gorgeous blend of blue and purple that I'm completely smitten with. In fact, I preordered an iPhone 16 in that colour, in part because it looks so good. This year's pink hue is as Barbie pink as it gets, and teal is one of the most adorable teal hues I've ever seen on a phone.
