Google made a blunder with the Pixel 9 during its launch event. It said very little about the hardware, but as soon as you finally get your hands on the phone, you realise it's almost beautiful.
So, Google did us all a disservice by merely discussing AI for an hour.
But was all the AI rhetoric justified, and does it lift the Pixel 9 above and above models that have come before it or that challenge it today? I discovered this while using the Pixel 9 on a daily basis.
Design of the Google Pixel 9
It's wonderful in a way that Pixel phones haven't always been before, as it gets both the aesthetics and ergonomics right, which strangely seems to be quite a challenge for other manufacturers. The Google Pixel 9 is not only the most attractive and well-presented standard Pixel phone yet, but it's also among the best-looking smartphones available today.
I don't think photos do it justice, as they can't capture how great the phone feels in your hand or how polished and high-quality the hardware itself is.It's a pleasure to touch since the satin-finished metal chassis has just the perfect amount of curvature to match the flat Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 rear panel.
I think the size is perfect because I can use it with one hand without worrying about fumbling it and it fits into my pocket almost undetected. With Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over the screen and an IP68 dust and water resistant rating, it's as sturdy as you might expect. However, the metal frame of the Pixel 9 provides ample of grip and it is not slippery.
It should go without saying that the fit and quality are excellent, but this isn't always the case with Pixel phones. Without any indication of misalignment, undesired ridges, or an imperfect fit, the Pixel 9 is exquisitely constructed. The camera module, which has evolved from a visor into a large flat-top island mountain on the back of the 9, gives its sleek, minimalist design personality. Although its visual impact is diminished by the stadium's designs, its significant height cannot be denied.
